## Narrative

Maintenance was in process of replacing gear reducer. The reducer was lifted to take the weight off the base. Two mechanics had hands on reducer to guide it into place. Employee had left hand on reducer & right hand on the hub. The reducer apparently caught on something which caught his little finger on the right hand between reducer hub & motor hub.
