## Narrative

Injured employee and another employee were loading a piece of 8"" pipe into the back of a truck. Injured employee's right thumb got caught between the lifting eye on the 8"" pipe and the tailgate of the truck as the pipe was slid into the back of the truck. His right thumb was mashed breaking the tip of the bone in his thumb and causing the nail to come off.
