## Narrative

A miner was cleaning drill holes at the face while standing on a small muckpile. She turned, lost her balance, fell and hit her knee on a rock. At first thinking it was just a bruise, she continued working until the pain began escalating. Subsequent evaluation by a physcian showed the kneecap had been momentarily dislocated, causing swelling and pain.
