Employee was operating the miner on remote and a piece of roof slate fell between the wire mesh screen striking his left middle finger. Cause of this injury could be from not wearing proper gloves. Compliance with rules could be a factor, protective equip could be a factor, miner attitude a factor, mining equip/systems not a factor.
