The employee noticed a piece of rock between the top and bottom belt. The rock was rolling around in front of a ""V"" scraper that was on the top side of the bottom belt. He reached a rake in between the belts to pull the rock out. When the rake came into contact with the moving belt, the rake handle came back and struck him in the face.
