Narrative

While replacing a 50 foot piece of water line that supplies water to the continuous miner the injured was watching a mechanic strike the water coupler with a hammer and a piece of the hammer broke off an struck the injured on the lower left stomach area causing the metal to embed under the skin. This required 5 sutures.
