## Narrative

While performing operator tests, cage would not descend, it would only rise. This triggered the limit alarm. Electrician contacted Allen-Bradley consultant who advised to place controls in ""heavy"" mode. Hoist returned to normal operation. MSHA was contacted by accident toll-free number at approximately 7:05 PM.
