Crew installing drag ropes on dragline #79 using a 1 1/2"" drive impact to install rope clamp bolts. EE pulled back on the impact, which was suspended via overhead crane, and he felt a pinch or sting sensation in his right lower back and hip. EE didn't report the incident to his supervisor. He began experiencing back pain the following night, went to ER & reported the next day.
