Narrative

The victim entered the mine to work the third shift on 7/19/07 at 11:00 pm. At approximately 2:00 AM on 7/20/07, he and one other mechanic were burned when a spray paint can ignited while they were using a cutting torch on the #2 unit feeder. The victim received second degree burns on his arms and face. The other mechanic only had first degree burns requiring first aid. .
