## Narrative

Employee had just finished a drill run then put his hand below the swivel on the pipe to feel if the core spring was gripping, (it did not grip),  he then lowered the drill string.  There was slack in the line, a moment later the core slipped back onto the tube, causing the string to drop and crushed his index finger between the bottom of the swivel and the top of the head.
