## Narrative

EE stated while removing pin from belt splice, struck pin with hammer. Small piece (approx. 1/4"" in size) broke off (hammer) and hit him in stomach (abdomen). Penetrated skin & bled. Further stated went home & slept - got up & went to hospital 6:20 pm. X-rayed before and after metal was surgically removed.
