An employee was carrying a box of tools and trash when he tripped on a mounting bolt. He fell against a machine housing and drove a welding rod tip into his cheek, just left of his nose. The rod punctured the sinus and fractured the maxillary bone. The employee was examined by a specialist, given antibiotics, and then released back to work.
