At approximately 9:25 A.M. the hoist at the New Era Portal went down when the electric motor that runs the hydraulic booster for the brake went bad. The motor and coupler were changed out by 10:00 A.M. and the hoist, after being test run three times, was running again at 10:10 A.M. MSHA was notified on their hotline and an inpsector was on site.
