The mine experienced an electrical storm and at approximately 3:36 am after several power surges, the main contactor failed due to a blown fuse. A miner was trapped on the elevator when it went down. The miner diembarked and the elevator was fixed at 5:10 am. MSHA was notified at 4:02 am.
