The employee was showering at the end of his shift and was washing his face when he felt a foreign object in his left eye. This injury did not involve any aspect of compliance with rules & regs, nor did it involve mine equipment or the mining system. It did not involve the skills, profiency, training or attitude of the miner. PPE does not apply due to location of injury.
