## Narrative

Leadman opening discharge gate (rail car) using steel bar to turn the cap stand so as to slide the gate back. His foot was on the bar to gain leverage. He had mud on his boots, which caused his foot to slip off the bar. The bar sprang up and struck fingers on right hand. Hairline fracture midway through middle of bone of right ring finger.
