Narrative

A production employee was struck by a rock which appears to have come from the cutting face or fell between the supports. The rock struck the employee in the left ear causing a laceration. The employee was taken to the emergency room where he received seven stitches to close the wound. The employee received a full work release and reported to his next scheduled work shift.
