Narrative

Miner was using a hand grinder on a steel framework. He was wearing safety glasses but a piece of metal lodged in his eye. He was transported to an optometric physician who removed the fragment(s) and he was released the same day to return to work with no restrictions. Miner re-instructed on requirement to wear face shield or goggles when grinding.
