## Narrative

Employee was lowered to the rock with a hydraulic man lift of the lining machine. The machine operator slowed or stopped the man lift and then started it again when it was near the bottom of the travel. This caused the mechanic to lose his balance. He quickly reached out with his left arm to grab hold of the machine to steady himself.
