## Narrative

A roof bolter operator was in the process of adding an extension to his drill steels to finish a drill hole for a bolt.  During this process, the drill steels fell from the mine roof, striking the injured on the left middle finger causing a laceration on it.  The individual was wearing metacarpal gloves at the time of this incident.
