Employee stepped into a 14"" wide by 3' long hole with a 6"" drop to the new beam which had to be open due to construction. Employee caught himself on a 3' column that had a sharp corner causing a puncture wound to his left forearm. The wound required 3 stitches inside and 9 stitches outside.
