The injured was placing roof screen on continuous miner when the rib rolled on the left side of the continuous miner. The rib roll knocked him to his knees & he struck his left forehead on the miner or a large rock next to the miner. He received a laceration to the left forehead that required 8 sutures, and also had abrasions & contusions on his back & right arm.
