## Narrative

While making a drill pipe connection the hammer became plugged with material.  When the hammer was raised up the plug released causing the return hose (4""0) to whip violently striking the employee in the right shoulder causing a contusion to the right shoulder. Placed on light duty.  All whip checks were in place.
