Assisting coworker lifting and sliding sideways a 250 lb pipe onto steel table, pipe coated with nonslip material creating more resistance, Employee felt sharp pain in lower back. Employees should have used mechanical lift but were in ""hurry"" was the reason for not following their training and company policy on proper lifting.
