Narrative

Changing hydraulic shovel lip and was driving new pins into tooth tips. He was holding pin with channel locks. When he swung the hammer to strike the pin, the hammer head struck the tooth to his right, causing the hammer to strike his left thumb and forced it against another tooth. He was taken to Quest Orthopaedic and diagnosed with a left closed mid-shaft thumb fracture.
