## Narrative

Employee was trying to pull in the #1 shield from the #2 shield sims controls. The #1 shield had a chain hooked from the pontoons to the stageloader/face conveyor. As pressure was applied with the stageloader and the shield a connecting link on the chain failed and the employee was struck on the lower left leg just above the ankle by a section of the chain.
