A mechanic and the IE were in the process of trying to remove a pin from the trailer end rub rail. The IE was holding a 3/4x 5 inch bolt with pair of channel locks and the mechainc was hitting the bolt with a brass sledge hammer. The last time the mechanic hit the bolt, a piece came off the sledge hammer and struck the IE in the forearm between the elbow and the wrist.
