## Narrative

A roof bolter operator fractured a metacarpal bone in his right hand when he was struck by a drill steel while trying to align the steel in his drill chuck.  He pushed on the steel with his boom and when he released the boom pressure, the steel flexed back striking his hand, causing the injury.
