## Narrative

EE lifting steel plates/parts when he felt a hot burning pain in left inguinal area.  Over the next few days, the pain increased and the employee reported it and sought medical attention. Employee underwent a layoff (planned production shutdown) during this time and was not eligible to work until 1/4/10, when recalled.  and he was unable to due to medical restrictions.
