## Narrative

Miner was walking along the longwall face when he slipped and his foot went between the relay bar and toe of the shield and was pinched. This involved fractures of the toes on his left foot a nd also the loss of skin on the first two toes of the foot. The bones of the first two toes were still attached but toes of foot were surgically removed after accident.
