EE stated that he was roof bolting #4 unit. As he started the drill steel against the roof, a small piece of rock )approx. 2"" diameter and thin) was slung back by the rotation of the drill steel and it struck him between the upper lip and nose. He received 3 sutures and returned to work on his next scheduled shift.
