EE was removing a solenoid control on a mechanical rock bolter by using a folding knife to remove the screw/bolt that was the attachment for the solenoid. The knife's locking mechanism failed and the ee right pinky finger was caught by the folding blade. The blade caused a laceration to the meaty part of the finger which required sutures the following day 2/10/10.
