## Narrative

The shear was cutting coal & rock going to the tailgate when the ignition occurred on the headgate drum. Ignition happened at 60 shield and lasted approximately 2 to 3 minutes, the flame was put out with two fire extinguishers. The longwall crew was headed to the tailgate on their third pass of the day.
