## Narrative

Employee was putting right angle chain back together after removing links to tighten chain.  He was using a 4 pound hammer when he felt pain in his left hand.  He removed his glove to find his left thumb bleeding and could not move his left thumb.  Surgery was required to remove a piece of metal which required 5 sutures.
