Float Plant Assistant was replacing a 100 watt florescent light bulb above the burn out station. As the employee went to remove the light cover, he bumped an unsecured Plexiglas plate with his right arm. Once he removed his right arm, the Plexiglas slid down and struck the employee's left hand right above his wrist. The employee's left hand immediately began to swell.
