## Narrative

EE slipped on loose coal & to keep from falling, grabbed a pipe hanger; transferring his weight to his left shoulder. EE continued to work with occasional pain. MRI on 3/21/11: Degenerative change of the glenoid labrum inferior & superior aspect, tendons intact & normal alignment, soft tissue swelling involving anterior shoulder. Removed from work 3/21 - surgery scheduled 3/29/11.
