Narrative

Employee was operating the #3 Fletcher Roof Bolter (Double Boom); while attempting to dislodge steel from drill chuck he missed the steel and struck the drill chuck with his claw hammer causing a piece of steel to fly up striking his eye. Injuries resulted in a laceration to his eye which lead to surgery and will be off work on Workmans Comp for an uncertain period of time.
