## Narrative

Helping maintenance with replacement of lid over the hammer mill, employee used a sledge hammer to align the lid. Metal fragment about 1/4""long and 1/8"" thick broke off and penetrated his left arm just below the elbow. The metal fragment was not visible and had to be removed at the hospital requiring a couple of stitches to close the wound.
