## Narrative

Employee was electrofusing a fitting onto a 2"" piece of HDPE pipe. Employee removed his gloves in anticipation of completing weld and shutting down the welding machine. Employee abruptly turned away from coupling when the hot molten around the coupling exploded out from the fusing site. Employee was approx 2' away from area when molten landed on employee.
