The portal passenger elevator went down at approximately 7:05 AM. Schindler Elevator Service was called to evaluate the occurrence and correct the problem. The elevator was returned to service at approximately 10:30 AM. A defective door strut, that allows the elevator doors to shut, was found to be the problem.
