## Narrative

The employee was operating the continuous miner loading a coal hauler, when the entire roof of the cut fell in. When the rock fell on the continuous miner and coal hauler, a section of the rock deflected off of the coal hauler striking the employee on the left hand. He was diagnosed with a fractured left little finger and right knee cap.
