Employee was operating the taigate drum of the shear in the 17th West Longwall at shield #141 when a bounce occurred. He was struck either by the rubber bounce guard or by a piece of coal in the right shoulder and right side of the airstreams helmet. Employee claims to have been unconscious for a few seconds.
