Standing on #270 shield started pushing tailgate drive out, foot slipped off shield toe and instead of pushing the pan it advanced and caught his left foot. PPE was not a factor, compliance rules/regs was not a factor, mining equipment/system was a factor, miner proficiency was a factor.
