While the employee was carrying a small piece of sheet metal to the upper floor of the prep plant, he accidentally fell and hit his side against a handrail. He was checked by the mine nurse who sent him to have x-rays. The x-rays revealed that he had broken some ribs on the right side of the rib cage. The doctor gave him a full release to come back to work on the following shift.
