Carrying a bag of rock dust and while walking in crosscut the chain of a cable handler broke and the cable came out striking him in the face causing 3/4 inch laceration to his upper right lip. This required four sutures to close. He returned to work his next regularly schedule shift. No time was lost. This is a medical treatment incident.
