Employee traveling on foot, stumbled over 1/4"" checker plate covering opening in floor. When he stumbled, he pulled or strained muscle in lower back. Plate was flat, but had thin layer of dust on it making it harder to see. Employee sent to physician, placed on restricted duty for 5 days, released to full duty.
