## Narrative

The employee was lowering the hydraulic ladder, standing on the ground in front of the haul truck.  He activated the switch with his right hand while releasing the safety latch with his left hand.  The left thumb was pinched/lacerated when the ladder began to move.  The laceration required sutures.
