The employee walked up the 16 degree slope incline for approximately 800' to exit the mine. Once on the surface, he began to experience breathing problems and could not cool down. Employees performed first aid on the employee but felt his condition was not improving. He was transported to the hospital via ambulance where he was treated for heat exhaustion and released.
