Narrative

A BASF employee was releasing the hand brake on a railcar when the tension on the brake caused the handle to recoil. The recoil caused the employee's right pinkie finger to come in contact with the brake chain of the rail car. The employee was diagnosed as having a fractured finger and received two stitches at the tip of his finger.
