## Narrative

Injured employee was attempting to place crib blocks under the cutter head of company number 138 continuous miner. While placing the cribs he caught his left thumb between a crib block and the head of the miner resulting in a laceration and fracture. Injured employee finished the shift then received 6 stitches to close the wound.
